My first TV interview!

So, at 10 a.m. on Monday, I got an email from Hannah McNeff, morning newswoman on my local t.v. station, asking if I could be in the studio at 6 the next morning. Never one to pass up free p.r., I said 'Sure!' and spent the next seven hours spastically worrying about what to wear. I posted photos of tops on Twitter, ran (literally) through a mall, and generally was in a tizzy.

The day got off to a bang at 2:30, when The Kid started fussing in his sleep. I was super-nervous (and also, due to the running around the mall in sandals thing, very sore) and couldn't get back to sleep. Seriously. But on the bright side, I was at the studio on time and fully caffeinated!

And the door was locked. So was the next door. And the next one. All five doors were locked, and let me tell you--sheer panic is what I felt there. Then someone walked by a window and noticed me. YAH! I was in!

So here's the interview on my webpage! (Sorry, but YouTube and Blogger weren't talking to each other today.)

Thanks so much to Hannah McNeff and the KHQA morning crew for having me!

A Man of Distinction

Well, it's been--what, a month? Maybe two? And you know what that means--it's time for another cover!

Without further ado, here is A Man of Distinction!

Pre-order: Amazon | Powell’s | Indiebound

Here's the blurb:

     "Let me see my son."

He'd said goodbye to his life on the reservation without regrets. He'd asked Tanya Rattling Blanket to come with him too many times, and Nick Longhair never begs. But when business brings him back to his ancestors' land, he finally understands what he exchanged for money and power.

In the years he's been in Chicago, Tanya has been raising his baby, a son he didn't know.... Determined to give his child every advantage, Nick isn't about to leave again...at least not alone. But that means winning back the love of those he left behind.

Sounds good, right? This book is my first secret baby book, and I think it turned out really, really well.

However, A Man of Distinction won't be out for . . . another 3 months. Dang. So, in the meantime, please content yourselves with James Carlson, who is available in JUST ONE MONTH:

Pre-order: Amazon | Powell’s | Indiebound
Blue-blooded lawyer James Carlson is working on the case of his life. After winning this trial, his career will be set. He won't let anything…or anyone…alter his course. Then he meets his witness.

Maggie Eagle Heart makes him question everything—his family, his goals, his future. Because she's the one woman he wants, and she's the one woman who is completely off-limits. Yet even as he struggles to keep their relationship all about business, he can't deny the attraction is mutual—and irresistible.

James has always done what is expected of him…until now.

Oh, yeah. It's going to be one GREAT summer!
